It Is Back!

The one annual event (its becoming more popular than our festive seasons) that does not warrant any public holidays in the country (maybe they should give it a thought now eh) is back and prompted The Star to carry it as the cover story today...Yes people time to look into your closet and search for that surgical mask again because the HAZE is back in town...(suddenly the tune of the song that goes..."the boys are back in town..." is playing in my head).

The culprit?...the forest burning in Sumatera (U didn't have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out did u)...Apparently a 40ha peat forest has been burning since 2 days ago...and more bad news is that the number of hot spots from satelite images has jumped from 351 to 531 within 24hrs...FYI forest burning is very common there as its the most economical way to get rid of things you don't want laa...

On the home front things are not helping either...over 40ha of agriculture land along the Elite Highway near KLIA has been on fire for the last 2 days too...(hai timing sama ni ada pakat ka?...)Looks like our firemen are putting in the extra hours doing what they are paid for...

Anyway no wonder when i went out for breakfast with my mrs today everything looked pretty much greyish...You see we are now in Lumut, Perak (for our last leg of roadshow in Teluk Batik later in the afternoon) and across the Straits of Melacca from Lumut is....YEEESS....Sumatera...

We should install a gigantic fan along our coast to change wind direction...

Haze? Ugh. I came back to KL & had to deal with the hot & humid weather here (perasan but it's actually good for the skin) and now HAZE? Anyway, wished I could have join the last leg of the tour but yeah, im still unknown.

Halo Che' Em.. Lumut? Wah my hometown.. But it's been years I haven't been there due to some circumstances.. Actually there was a gigantic fan along the sea side, in front of the 5 star hotel facing the Naval base. U should try the famous murtabak Pak Din la..

Lot's of improvement happened between Sitiawan and Lumut.. I heard there a lots of hypermarket to cater all the people there..
My time, there was only 'Dinding's' supermarket and later on Matahari and Billion..
